Bhopal’s Vijay Iyer Turns Scooter Into Mobile School for 5000+ Kids

In the bustling lanes of Bhopal, you’ll find Vijay Iyer, quietly fixing scooters in his small mechanic shop. Grease on his hands, tools by his side—he looks like any other hardworking man. But when the sun begins to set, something extraordinary happens.

Vijay becomes a teacher.

Not in a classroom. Not with a blackboard and benches. But on a two-wheeler turned mobile classroom he calls Shiksha Rath—a chariot of education.

Every evening, he rides into slums, railway tracks, and forgotten corners of the city where children once roamed aimlessly or picked through garbage. Today, those same children shout with joy, “School aaya!” the moment they see his van approach.

What started with a single scooter and a few kids has now grown into a mission. Over 5,000 underprivileged children have found hope through Vijay’s classes. He not only teaches them basics like reading and writing, but also convinces hesitant parents to believe in the power of education.

And he didn’t stop there. With the help of a small team and a big heart, Vijay now streams live LED classes into 60 villages—lighting up rooms not just with screens, but with dreams.

His next goal? A bigger bus, more seats, more books, and a longer road to drive change.

Because for Vijay Iyer, this isn’t charity. This is purpose. A mechanic by trade, a teacher by heart—and truly, a driver of hope.
