Shapers from Surat and Karachi are organizing a special Pre-match show named “PROJECT MILAAP” to
bring together Shapers from India and Pakistan.
Despite the longstanding differences between the governments of these two nations, cricket has
consistently been a common ground that unites the people of both countries. On the occasion of the ICC
Cricket World Cup match scheduled for October 14, 2023, in Ahmedabad, this unique initiative aims to
celebrate the spirit of togetherness and collaboration that transcends borders.
PROJECT MILAAP is a testament to the immense craze that both nations share for each other’s movies,
cultures, and traditions. The name is inspired by a famous Bollywood movie, Main Hoon Na, and signifies
the deep-rooted cultural and cinematic ties that bind India and Pakistan.
During this special pre-match show, which will take place on the day of the match from 1pm to 2pm, Global
Shapers from both countries will come together to engage in meaningful dialogue, discuss cross-border
collaborations, and celebrate the India-Pakistan World Cup clash. The event showcases the Shapers’
commitment to creating a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
The Global Shapers Community is an initiative by World Economic Forum having network of young leaders
renowned for their potential, achievements, and commitment to making a positive difference in their
respective communities. By organizing PROJECT MILAAP, they aim to reinforce the idea that sports,
culture, and collaboration can transcend political boundaries and bring people together in the spirit of
unity and friendship.
