In the middle of the chaos caused by nonstop rain in Surat, the city witnessed something truly heartwarming — the bravery and quick action of the Surat Police.
As heavy rainfall flooded the low-lying areas of Salabatpura, many people — especially elderly citizens, women, and children — found themselves trapped in their homes. With water levels rising fast, panic could’ve taken over. But instead, hope arrived in the form of uniformed heroes.
Police officers jumped into the water without hesitation and worked nonstop to save everyone. Between 60 and 70 people were securely evacuated and relocated to safe areas.
What is noteworthy here is not only the task they completed, but also the passion behind it. The police safeguarded lives in addition to maintaining law and order.
