Get up at 5 in the morning, drive to a village some 20 kilometres away, to do what? Clean a pond. Crazy….., Some are!
Outside of a few rise-and-shine types, most of us don’t consider it our favorite part of the day.
The hand gloves, masks, shovels, phavadas, tagaarees, khurpees (didn’t get the English names), waste bags, you name them and they were there. Water & juices of all kinds of flavour to quench your thirst. So immaculately thought off and brought to the scene. Joined by the village leaders, we Rotarians were greatly supported by the staff of PEPL, Palsana Enviro Protection Limited. There was a JCB too that was called for and all of you have seen it working, in the videos posted, helping our cause “Protect the Environment” and serving the people of Valthan.
On our way back, we had the courtesy of visiting PEPL where we were served with an in-depth presentation of WHAT PEPL DOES, along with a very elaborate and sumptuous breakfast with beverages of our choice.
A huge thank you to PP RAVINDRA ARYA, who played excellently from both the teams.
Mr. Bharat and the entire staff of PEPL, President Surendra ji, PE Savita ji and each one of the crazy lot of Rtns. who joined in to give this wonderful push start morning turning our whole day so satisfying. GREAT!!!!
