Bengaluru Couple Achieves MBA Milestone with Daughter in Attendance

In a touching display of family support and determination, Siddanth P, 40, and Pooja MB, 35,
celebrated their MBA graduation at BMS College of Commerce and Management in Bengaluru,
with their five-year-old daughter, Sunaina, proudly watching from the audience.
Both parents returned to academia after significant breaks. Pooja, who graduated in 2010,
began her MBA in 2022, while Siddanth pursued a BBA in 2019 after completing an engineering
degree in 2006. Juggling parenting and studies presented challenges, but Pooja received
encouragement from family and classmates, allowing her to overcome initial fears. “The first
semester was tough, but it got easier,” she reflected.
Inspired by Pooja’s journey, Siddanth decided to join her in the program, fostering a
collaborative learning environment at home. Their daughter was cared for by Siddanth’s aunt, a
trustee at the college, allowing the couple to focus on their studies.
During the graduation ceremony, Dr. John Ebnezar, an orthopedic surgeon, addressed the class
of 227 students, emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being and personal fulfillment.
He reminded graduates that “life is bigger than your education and job,” encouraging them to
prioritize happiness over career pressures.
This inspiring story highlights not only the couple’s academic achievements but also the power
of family support in overcoming life’s challenges, serving as a reminder that education is a
lifelong journey.
