100+ Children Set to Become Published Young Authors Through “Be an Author” Initiative

In a meaningful step toward encouraging creativity, confidence, and original thinking among children, author and storyteller Pinal Patel is leading a unique initiative titled “Be an Author.” The program is designed to guide children through the complete journey of creating their own book—from imagining a story and developing characters to writing, illustrating, editing, and finally publishing their work.

The initiative brings together more than 100 young participants with the aim of helping them become published authors. It also plans to bring these young writers together as part of a Golden Book of World Records attempt, making the project not only a creative learning experience but also a memorable collective milestone. The program is being organized by Niaa Creations Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with The Owl Academy.

A Workshop That Goes Beyond Writing

“Be an Author” is not simply a story-writing class. It is a structured creative program that introduces children to the full process of becoming an author.

During the workshop, children are encouraged to imagine their own original stories, create characters, build plots, write step by step, and develop illustrations for their books. They are also introduced to writing and editing techniques and gain a basic understanding of how publishing works. The goal is to help each child complete a book with proper guidance and experience the pride of seeing their own ideas transformed into a published work.

For many children, writing a complete book can feel like a distant dream. This initiative makes that dream practical and achievable. By breaking the creative process into guided steps, children learn how an idea can slowly grow into a complete story.

More importantly, they begin to see themselves not just as students, but as creators.

Building Confidence Through Creativity

One of the most valuable aspects of the program is the confidence it can help build.

When a child writes a story, they make decisions. They decide who the characters are, what happens next, what problems the characters face, and how the story ends. This process strengthens imagination, communication, planning, and independent thinking.

The workshop also creates a space where children can express their thoughts freely. Some children may love adventure stories, while others may write about friendship, animals, fantasy, family, humor, or real-life experiences. The program gives each participant the freedom to develop a unique voice.

By completing and publishing a book, children gain something more powerful than a certificate—they gain the belief that their ideas are worth sharing.

100+ Young Authors, One Shared Milestone

A central feature of the initiative is its scale.

The program aims to bring together 100 to 250 children who will publish their books as part of the larger record-attempt initiative. Each child will have an individual book, while also becoming part of a much bigger community of young authors.

This collective effort makes the initiative especially significant. Children will not be working in isolation. They will be part of a movement that celebrates imagination, literacy, creativity, and youth authorship.

The final publishing celebration and record event is expected to take place between October and November 2026, after participants gradually develop and complete their books through weekly sessions.

What Every Child Will Receive

The program is designed to give each participant a complete authorship experience.

According to the workshop material, every child will receive:

  • Their own published book
  • Six printed copies of their book
  • A Golden Book of World Records certificate
  • Recognition as a young author

The program fee is ₹10,000, which includes workshop training, book publishing, six copies of the book, mentorship sessions, the record-attempt certificate, and participation in the record-attempt event.

These elements help turn the workshop into a complete creative journey—from learning and writing to publishing and recognition.

Who Can Join?

The workshop is suitable for children who love stories, enjoy drawing and writing, want to create something unique, or dream of becoming published authors.

A child does not need to arrive with a complete story or advanced writing skills. The program is designed to help children gradually develop their ideas with expert guidance.

This makes the workshop accessible not only to confident young writers, but also to imaginative children who may simply need encouragement and the right platform.

A New Way to Celebrate Children’s Ideas

In many educational settings, children are usually asked to read stories written by others. “Be an Author” changes that perspective.

It asks a different question: What happens when children are given the opportunity to write the stories themselves?

That question lies at the heart of this initiative.

By giving children the tools to imagine, write, illustrate, and publish, the workshop transforms storytelling from an activity into an achievement. It allows children to see their names on books, share their ideas with families and communities, and become part of a larger celebration of young creativity.

For Pinal Patel, who is leading the initiative, the project represents more than publishing books. It is about creating opportunities for children to discover their voice and believe in their own potential.

The “Be an Author” workshop stands as a positive example of how creative education can move beyond classrooms and worksheets. It shows that children can be readers, learners, thinkers—and also authors.

100+ children. 100+ stories. 100+ young authors. One shared dream of turning imagination into published books.
