With October just round the corner, the heat is here to haunt us and the soaring temperatures create trouble for the brides. Getting all dressed up for the day brings a high level of discomfort. Fashion designer, Heena Modi from Aquarians Bridal Studio takes us over all of the need-to-knows to cheat this sultry weather.
“Comfortable bride is a much happier bride. Do not overdress or wear layered clothing.
Opt for simple and lightweight bridal outfits like a sari or a printed lehenga and avoid heavy embellishments. Wear light-coloured outfits that are extremely airy to avoid that sticky feeling. Grooms can wear traditional linen kurtas instead of silk kurtas,” says the designer.
Focus on leisure and minimal ensemble, which is a mix of airy fabrics, fluid silhouettes and playful prints. Choose colours that complement not only the bride but the weather too. Choose comfort above all. Today, the brides are all about going beyond the normal and believing in “Less is more!”
