Actress Jaya Prada, recently took to her social media handle to reminisce the first time she faced the camera for her debut film. She was 14, when she started shooting for her first film Bhoomi Kosam.
Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Throwback pic… Me facing my first shot in my movie.” In the picture, Jaya is seen dressed in a purple saree, as she held pots in both her hands.

The picture is still from the 1974 film, Bhoomi Kosam. Helmed by KB Tilak, the film also featured Ashok Kumar, Gummadi, Jaggayya, Jamuna, Prabhakar Reddy and Chalam in pivotal roles.
Fans loved her throwback photo, and took to the comments section to acknowledge the same. One of them wrote, “Yaa, it’s your first movie and you looks too pretty and beautiful in this look,you are looking very lovely.” While another user wrote, “How you have changed eventually jayaprada gaaru it’s
awesome.”
Jaya was born as Lalitha Rani to a film financer in Andhra Pradesh, Prabhakar Reddy is known to have introduced her to cinema at the age of 14, and given her the name Jaya Prada for the film Bhoomi Kosam. She featured in a three-minute song for the film.
