Khushbu Choksi’s recipe to stay fit this winter

Recipe:

Dry fruits sukhdi:

Wheat flour 1/2 cup
Raagi flour 3 tbsp
Cow’s ghee 3 tbsp
Jaggery 2 tbsp
Almonds – pista lightly roasted and crushed to make powder
Anjeer – finely chopped.
Sesame seeds (til) lightly roasted.
Methi seeds 1 spoon roasted and crushed into fine powder.

Method:

1. In a pan, warm the ghee. Add sesame seeds and let it crackle.

2. Add wheat and ragi atta and roast for 3-4 minutes until it lightly browns.

3. Add the dry fruit powder and anjeer and roast for the next 1-2 minutes.

3. Now add anjeer and jaggery and turn the flame off immediately. Stir the mixture well and then let it settle on a plate with edges. Cut pcs when warm and transfer into a box when this sukhdi cools down.

Cherish one pc of this sukhdi daily morning in winter.

Kitchen tips:

Winter is here, and so are the green leafy vegetables.!! The greens are super tempting to be eaten raw as salads, but these can also cause gas and bloating.

So always make sure to add 1 tsp of pepper powder and 1/2 lemon to any green leafy vegetable like mooli bhaji, palak, green lettuce, methi leaves etc,Khu before eating these sautéed or raw as salad. This will give warmth to your body and prevent indigestion.
