Being in your early 20s can be confusing. Even though you’re still figuring yourself out, you’re expected to have opinions, carry responsibilities, and make a significant contribution to society. That liminal space became the beginning of something lovely for Nirjara Vasanwala: a writing journey that would not only define her but also resonate with others.
Nirjara’s passion for poetry started in Grade 9, when her language teachers noticed a spark of depth, emotion, and inventiveness in her. She had the confidence to start because of their belief, and once she got writing, she couldn’t stop. She developed a quiet but strong voice through school contests, impromptu poetry challenges, and countless observations of human emotions.

College pushed her again. She was able to develop both as a writer and as a person thanks to the chance to interact with people from different backgrounds. She says, “I started to feel more deeply and comprehend the complexity of emotions.” Her work was built upon this depth. However, Nirjara saw writing as a means of meaning rather than merely a means of expression. about producing art that has the power to genuinely touch and heal.
Her remarks began to strike a chord with people, particularly young people. She felt confident enough to publish her first collection of poetry after receiving such a positive response. The book, titled “अनकही” is a gentle reminder to all overthinkers. She writes, “Embrace the fog in your head—it can give birth to something beautiful.”

Nirjara wants to encourage self-awareness, healing, and introspection with “अनकही.” It’s not just a book. It’s a subdued revolution of ideas, emotions, and hidden realities.
She continues to write, reflect, and develop to this day. Her experience serves as evidence that the things that shape us are sometimes the ones we overthink the most.
