Physiocure – Physical Therapy Clinic Celebrates It’s Eight Anniversary This 8th Of March

Physiocure's 8th Anniversary Celebration on March 8th.

This woman’s day, let’s celebrate the achievements and success of one of the brilliant women of Surat who has made a name for herself based on sheer hard work and skill. The owner and founder of Physiocure Physical therapy clinic in Vesu, Dr Nisha Parekh, is a woman of substance and willpower. In the past eight years, all the growth and praise her physical therapy sessions and performance have received have been based on her efforts alone.

In this age, without any digital marketing or tie-ups of any kind, Dr Parekh could sustain herself based on word-of-mouth advertising alone. Her journey began with her choosing physiotherapy as a speciality simply because everyone around her expected her to become a doctor. Although once she started working in the field she had chosen, she fell in love with her profession and realised her true calling. Healing and strengthening her patients and helping them on their road to recovery brought her genuine joy and comfort.

Her beginnings were not easy. Her first job was a full-time stint at a small hospital in Kamrej, where she was paid a meagre 5000/- INR for all her hard work. Her skill and dexterity in her profession didn’t go unnoticed, though. She was soon recruited to be an assistant professor at a government college of physiotherapy and worked there for 3-4 years until she gained the courage to quit her job and start her own practice.

She worked with just one assistant for six years. All settled in, she then decided to grow her practice to hire other specialised physios who also offer home services—her 17 years of experience and speciality in antenatal and postnatal care physiotherapy meant that she was the only female doctor of her kind in Surat. Her growth and perseverance are a testament to the female empowerment movement. Along with kids and a family to look after, Dr Nisha proved she could fulfil all her commitments. On the road to success, females always pass through more hurdles and obstacles compared to their male counterparts, but that didn’t demoralise or slow her down.

Dr Nisha’s dream now is to create awareness about and develop a speciality in cancer physiotherapy to help those suffering from this disease. Even after having reached a substantial milestone in her career by having treated more than 10,000 patients, she continues to strive to learn and grow. This woman’s day, let’s celebrate the talent and efforts of these amazing women around us who inspire us all to reach the best version of ourselves.
