From selling coffee in his car to one of the most known coffee vendors in the country, Bhupinder Madaan has the most exhilarating stories of all. In January 2019, Bhupinder quit all of his businesses to fully pursue the food and beverages industry for middle-class Indians, leading to Theka coffee.
After starting his first cafe in September 2017, 14 other Theka cafes were inaugurated in high streets and malls in over eight states within the span of 2 years. Although the business was perfectly steady, the Covid pandemic caused a major hit in their debt, forcing the company to shut down every one of its outlets across India.
After months of planning and rebooting to about 2000/- to 3000/- rupees in Income per day, Bhupinder Madaan was shortlisted to pitch his business idea on the first season of Shark Tank India. While he did not get the investment, he gained tons of fame, including an opportunity to collaborate with Microsoft. Today, Theka Coffee records an average of sales worth Rs.15000/- from every outlet daily.
