Each Player of The Indian Men’s Hockey Team Promised 1 Cr By The Odisha Government If They Win The World Cup

Ahead of the FIH men’s hockey World Cup 2023, Chief Minister of Odisha; Naveen Patnaik announced an award of 1 cr to all the players if India wins the world cup after paying them a visit in the World cup village on the 5th of January this year. Followed by this momentous occasion, CM Patnaik inaugurated the World Cup Village at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium Complex in Rourkela as the team members praised the Indian Government’s gesture for uplifting the team during a crucial time.

Succeeding the occasion, India beat Wales in Group D fixture at the Kalinga stadium, Bhubaneswar, by a whopping margin of 4-2. Although India was knocked out in the following rounds after their match with New Zealand, India performed brilliantly with a well-developed strategy throughout the season; and even though they lost walked out of the court with pride in every member and the nation’s hearts.
