Prepare For The Winter Wedding Season With Style

Couple in stylish winter wedding attire.

Everyone is excited for this wedding season which comes after a 2-year pandemic break, and being a winter wedding, there are several looks you can serve. We have a few tips and tricks up our sleeve to have you looking your best without having to compromise on your comfort.

Regarding fabrics, silk and velvet will be your best friends this wedding season, as they look not only gorgeous but also provide much-needed warmth.

MEHENDI/SANGEET/HALDI

  1. Full sleeve Anarkalis and lehengas with a matching blouse and embroidered jacket are good options for the Mehendi and Sangeet function. (The lehenga with the jacket can also be repurposed for the summer)

  1. A sparkling cape with fringes could also be draped over an Anarkali if you don’t prefer long sleeves.

  1. An embroidered velvet jacket-style blouse and lehenga will provide an oomph to your trousseau.

WEDDING

For the actual wedding, we recommend a Benarasi silk lehenga with a silk satin blouse or silk sharara with a short Kurti.

It’s also trendy among Gen Z’s to layer on a leather jacket post-pheras.

RECEPTION

Since at receptions, people don’t move around a lot and mainly meet and greet guests. A fancy dupatta draping style could be adopted, which won’t only look stylish but also provide cover.

Besides fancy draping, an embroidered jacket over a saree is a cool chic modern look.

A gold saree with a closed-neck blouse is a beautiful and elegant get-up.

We hope these recommendations help you enjoy the wedding season perfectly comfortably and shiver-free.
