Uttar Pradesh is now a “Saksham Pradesh” and not a BIMARU state anymore: CM Yogi Adityanath

‘BIMARU’ refers to Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, i.e., States lacking economic growth, health facilities, education, etc. But not anymore. Uttar Pradesh has made immense growth in the past few years.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the launch ceremony of CM’s Micro Entrepreneur Accident Insurance Scheme and Pledge (Promoting Leadership and Enterprises for Development of Growth Engine) Park Scheme at Lok Bhavan based in Lucknow to celebrate World’s Entrepreneurship Day on 21st August. It is celebrated every year on August 21 to celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and the roles played by them in strengthening the economy.

In that specific event, CM Yogi addressed that “UP has the largest population in the country. Six years ago nobody wanted to come to UP. But, in the last week, you must have seen the reports of RBI and Niti Ayog. These reports tell that UP has become a state with the most investments in the country. Investors are now assured of the financial security available in the state.”

CM shares the development during his tenure of six years. The example of 10 aspirational districts including Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Badaun, Sitapur, Siddharthnagar, Sambhal, Kheri, Hardoi, and Banda, lagged in development. As Niti Aayog identified them as aspirational districts, they came under special focus for development. This was followed by the identification of 100 aspirational blocks that began to be developed, said Yogi. He also added that his government started working on the parameters decided by NITI Ayog such as education, health, agriculture and health resources, skill development, employment and economic inequality.

“People wonder if this is the same Uttar Pradesh that it was years back”, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said while ending his speech.
