The community “Connecting People” in Surat Hosted a Rock and roll Live jam Session

On 2nd July, Waves Cafe in Surat hosted their first ‘Rock and Roll Live Jam Session’, the first of many such episodes to come. It was done in collaboration with ‘Connecting People’. The founder of the community ‘Connecting People’, Vishnu Kejriwal, says his purpose for building this community was to help collaborators such as himself build meaningful connections in a place they feel comfortable in with minimal social restrictions and rules. He has worked with all the prominent social organizations in Surat, including Project Surat, NGO Uphaar, Moksha Foundation, Ek-Soch NGO, Robin Hood Army and Surat Watch Community. His innovative skills and ventures aim to help people build networks that will convert into leads in the future.

‘Another Side’ also collaborated with Waves Cafe and ‘Connecting People’ to help make this event successful. Despite being a tier 2 city, Surat has a thriving music community. Surti bands have made a name for themselves nationwide with their fresh new music that exhilarates the young audience. ‘Another Side’ is an artist’s commune that believes in celebrating the everyday joy of life. They bring new concepts like busking to the streets of Surat and help people explore their other side. The community consists of various artists who sing and play a myriad of instruments. One of the bands from the commune played rock and roll at the cafe. At the same time, people from other networking communities joined to create a harmonious, positive environment that fostered mutual growth.

Harsh, Meet, Harshit Hemnani, Riya Nahata, Kishan, Parth Javeri and Brijesh were a part of the band that performed at Waves. Vansh Khairnar lit up the evening with his anchoring as he engaged the audience and motivated them to get involved in the singing. More than a hundred people participated in the event and helped make it a huge success.

The Positive Day Newspaper was proud to be associated with this event as their media partner and looks forward to other episodes of their live music sessions.
