The Longest Cruise Line In The World Running In The River Ganga

On January 13 2023, PM Narendra Modi launched the MV Ganga Vilas, A triple deck luxury cruise ship which will travel 3200 km, crossing 27 river systems, two countries and multiple states across India. Additionally, the cruise will be the world’s largest river cruise that will sail for a total of 51 days with nothing but a single ship. As India enters a new year of growth characterised by the G20 presidency, the government focuses on developing tourism and maintaining a global profile. The cruise allows the holy Ganga’s wonderful tribulations to be shared with the world and gives the people a chance to experience Indian hospitality first-hand.

The new cruise line is the only ultra-luxury cruise of its sort in the entire region of South Asia. It will provide all passengers with an international cruise experience they have never had on Indian soil. The entire cruise ship has been built in India, including conceptualization, design, and production. This ship was constructed by in-house engineers and designers paid for by Atlanta Luxury River Cruises, responsible for managing and maintaining the destination cruise line constructed in Kolkata.

The Indian government has considered every conceivable amenity a premium ship might have and added it to MV Ganga Vilas. Everything about it is plush -carpeted corridors, an indoor gym, elegant-looking walls, tasteful interiors, spacious rooms with big windows for a panoramic view of the journey and beautiful decks with wooden flooring. In short, every comfort and indulgence that money can buy.

The cruise line has currently embarked on a journey with 32 Swiss nationals.
