Growing up in a family of seven siblings, Shailesh Sonpal’s early life was marked by financial struggles. Relocating from Junagadh to Kadodara near Surat, Shailesh began working under his elder brother. In 1990 and 1992, he was blessed with two sons, and as a doting father, he dreamt of providing them with a better life and education. In pursuit of these goals, he moved to Olpad and then to Surat in search of better work prospects.
The turning point in Shailesh Sonpal’s life came in 2004 when he acquired the distributorship of Coca-Cola for the Highway Area. This marked the beginning of his ventures into the distribution business. In the subsequent years, he grabbed the opportunity to become an Airtel Prepaid Distributor for the Highway in 2006 and later for Surat City in 2007. These achievements showcased his astute business acumen and ability to seize promising opportunities.
In 2008, Shailesh Sonpal’s expertise caught the attention of Samsung, who offered him a distributorship for Surat City. With unwavering determination, he expanded his business empire further. In 2011, he ventured into the retail sector by establishing a Samsung Exclusive Store, cementing his presence in the electronics market.
One of Shailesh Sonpal’s most cherished accomplishments is seeing his sons follow in his footsteps and join him in his business. This not only strengthened the family bond but also ensured the continuity of the legacy he had built.
Moreover, Shailesh Sonpal’s magnanimous nature extended beyond his immediate family. He empowered his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law by providing them with opportunities to work alongside him and become partners in various ventures. Notably, his brothers-in-law, Brijesh Khimani and Harshad Khimani, emerged as instrumental figures, supporting Shailesh and contributing to the success of the enterprises.
